Passed away December 16, 2020 at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Age 87 years.
The daughter of the late Hazel (Jacob) and Alfred Poineau was born June 11, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Gerald Ronan Sr., June 14, 1951. He passed away June 15, 2009. Betty retired from Treasure Island Restaurant. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her family.
Surviving are three daughter, three sons and their spouses, Sharon J. and Tom Savage; Gerald M. Ronan Jr. and his wife, Irene; Cindy A. and Ron Dycus; Kathy and Bob Dorey; Paul A. Ronan; David J. Ronan; nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A grandson, Gregory A. Ronan, two brothers and three sisters, Alfred and Ken Poineau, Rose Nichols, Barb Abbott and Caroline Fraser have predeceased her.
The funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. John Johnson will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service. Private burial will take place. Pursuant to the current state orders indoor building capacity is limited to 25 people, face masks are required, and social distancing encouraged.
