Betty Jo McGlone

Betty Jo McGlone Alma, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw Passed away Monday, December 15, 2014, at the Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan. Age 84 years. The daughter of the late Martha Irene (VanHorn) and Bruce McGlone was born August 2, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from High School in Jackson Michigan and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University. She taught in public school systems in Grand Ledge, Lake Orion and retired from the Saginaw Public Schools with many years of service. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Martha Washington Chapter #113 O.E.S; the Makere Temple #99, Daughters of the Nile; and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are two sisters, Bethney Ann Laird, Wilcox, Nebraska; Helen McGlone, Alma, MI; two nephews, one niece, John Laird Jr, Hastings, Nebraska; Steven B. Laird, Wilcox, Nebraska; Lisa Murphy, Austin, Texas; several great nieces and great nephews. Private entombment took place at Oakwood Mausoleum.
