Betty Jo Keeler, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at HealthSource Saginaw.
Betty was born on March 16, 1927, in Oklahoma. She spent her career as a switchboard operator for the telephone company, King Communications, and Blue Care Network. She had a flair for sewing and crafting, and she delighted in collecting antiques. Betty was a dedicated fan of her son Mike's softball teams, attending every game as his number one supporter. She lovingly kept score and cheered him on, showcasing her devotion not only as a mother but also as an enthusiastic participant in her family’s activities. Her love for sports extended to being an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
Betty was a loving mother and caretaker for her children. She is survived by her son, Mike (Cheryl) Keeler; grandchildren, Justin Spear and his children Kayden and Grace; Chad (Jennifer) Spear and their children, Austin and Hunter; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Donald "Jack" and Gary Keeler, whom she lovingly cared for their entire life. She is also predeceased by three sisters, Ruth, Gayleen, and Margie.
Betty will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the joyous moments she shared with those she loved. Her compassionate spirit will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
Cremation has taken place, and no service is planned at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603.
