Betty Jean Kehr

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare; at the age of 93 years.

The daughter of the late Clifford H. and Ruth V. (Howard) Persons, Betty was born on January 25, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan. Betty married Frederick “Fred” C. Kehr on February 17, 1951; he preceded her in death on December 6, 2005. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and embroidery. Her role of a lifetime was being a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family.

Surviving are two sons, one daughter, and their spouses: Diana and Bill Jennings, Fred and Kathy Kehr, Mark Kehr; grandchildren: Jason Kehr, Melissa Kehr, Laura (Bryan Coombs) Jennings, Michelle (Colin) Gardiner, Sarah (Jordan) Bartlett, Dawn Kehr, Matthew (Sarah) Kehr; great-grandchildren: Christian Kehr; Elizabeth, Katie, and Ben Gardiner; Calvin and Lenora Bartlett; brothers: Robert (Dani) Persons, Jim Persons. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her husband and her parents; Betty was preceded in death by her son: William Kehr; brother: Don Persons, and Jerry Persons.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral chapel.
