Betty Lou Arnold

Arnold, Betty Lou Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at her home, age 84 years. Betty Lou was born in Saginaw, Michigan August 23, 1928 the daughter of the late Lucien and Helen (Steinke) Pol. She married Ferris Arnold December 29, 1945 and he survives her. Betty Lou was a hair stylist for 30 years and an Avon Representative. She volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Shop for many years. She was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Guild. In addition to her husband of 67 years, Betty Lou is survived by five children, Ferris L. (Leslie) Arnold, Cynthia Arnold (Nick DeFrancesco), Dan Arnold, Beverly Arnold and Jim Arnold; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn (Dick) Weiss; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Tommy DePrekel; three brothers, George Pol, Kenneth Pol and Lucien Pol, Jr. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave. Rev. C. William Weis will officiate with private burial to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Peace Lutheran Church or Lutheran Homes of Michigan Foundation.
