Betty Weiskirch

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Covenant-Harrison Healthcare. Age 83 years.
The daughter of the late Michael and Alvina (Englehardt) Brendly was born May 30, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended St. Peter Lutheran Church. Betty married Donald Weiskirch, November 27, 1954. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage. Donald passed away June 6, 2021. Betty was employed at many businesses and retired from Hemlock Public Schools. She was very involved in St. Peter Lutheran School and Church. She was a member of St. Peter Alter Guild, Mary Martha Society and served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was also active in the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H, Sawdust Days, Historical Society and many projects in community. She was named Citizen of the Year in Hemlock in 2015. Above all Betty cherished painting and ceramics, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, two sons and their spouses, Ruth Kilgore, Robert and Tina Weiskirch, Thomas and Laura Weiskirch; Sally Weiskirch and a daughter-in-law, Paula Weiskirch; fifteen grandchildren, Robert (Trisha) Kilgore, Rachel (Eric) Humpert, Ryan Weiskirch, Brett Weiskirch, Faith Weiskirch, Daniel Weiskirch, Matt Weiskirch, Mike (Kim) Weiskirch, Nicole (Josh) Oisten, Mitchell Weiskirch, Kayla Todd, Jeff (Nicole ) Ceslak, Greg Ceslak, Brian Gaudette, Bradley Gaudette, sixteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Michael (Diane) Brendly; Paulette Giltrop; many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Donald, Betty was predeceased by her son, John Weiskirch, three great grandchildren, Cameron, Annalise and Grace Kilgore; her parents, Michael Brendly, Alvina Englehart and Wesley Brown; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arnold and Matilda(Neuenfeldt) Weiskirch; her brother, sister and brothers-in-law, Elaine (Ray) Suppes, George Brendly, John Giltrop and Bernard (Marie) Weiskirch.
Honoring Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 2467 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock, Michigan. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the memorial service.
