Betty M. Iles

Iles, Betty M. Saginaw, MI Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the age of 86 years. The daughter of the late August and Ivy (Schmall) Ester was born on May 9, 1928 in Grayslake, IL. She moved to Michigan as a teenager. She married Edwin W. Iles on February 7, 1948; he survives her. Betty retired from Jo Ellen's cake shop. She was a member of Countryside Trinity Church. Betty was also a life member of the Martha Washington Order of the Eastern Stars Chapter 113. She enjoyed bowling, card games and spending time with her family, especially cooking and baking family meals. Surviving besides her husband of 66 years, Edwin, are their children: Diana (James) Wojtasinski, Debra (Donn) Penney, David (Kira) Iles, Daniel (Stacy) Iles, grandchildren: Traci Rapin, Nate (Linda) Wojtasinski, Mary (Kyle) Marietta, Laura Wojtasinski, Lydia (Andrew) Schultz, Chad (Terri) Penney, Shannon Penney, Becky (Chad) Randolph, Daniel, Anthony, Lisa, Christina, Dustin, Devin, Trenton and Charli Iles, 18 great-grandchildren, her sister Marty (Merle) Miller, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Betty was predeceased by a daughter Dawn Marie Iles, her siblings: Alma, Helen, June, Roy, Virgil and Frank. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Countryside Trinity Church, 4690 Weiss. Rev. Kenneth Parker will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where the Martha Washington Chapter will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
