Betty Wade

Passed away peacefully on Monday May 27, 2019. Betty was born on October 20, 1929 to the late Henry and Laura (Ballien) Smith in Saginaw, Michigan. Betty later married Carl Wade on February 19, 1949, he preceded her in death on December 26, 2014. Betty spent many years working for Dow Corning Medical and has been a member of Messiah Lutheran Church for nearly 20 years. Betty was rather crafty; in her spare time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, and embroidery. She was even a member of a crafters club. Betty also enjoyed couples bowling with her husband Carl as well as dancing. Some of her favorite dancing included polka and square dancing. She is survived by her children; Pamela Wade, Sandra Wade, Cheryl (Henry) Beckord, Randall Wade and Beth Wade; her grandchildren Lisa (Rob) Barkey, Samantha Beckord, Joshua (Chris) Wade, Aaron Wade and Jessica Wade; and her great grandchildren Mathew Barkey, Austin Barkey, Zachary Barkey, Michael Dauer and John- Carl Wade. Betty is also survived by her sister Mary Ann (Bernard) Schoch. She is preceded in death by one brother and one sister; Alvin Smith and Della Smith and her grandson, Christopher Dauer. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1550 S. Poseyville Road, Midland, Michigan 48640. Pastor Dennis Kreil will officiate. Honoring Betty's wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at W.L. Case and Company 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw.
