Billy Carlos Persinger

Persinger, Billy Carlos Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at his home, age 84 years. Billy was born in Sinks Grove, West Virginia July 28, 1929 the son of the late Clifford P. and Rosa (Wise) Persinger. He married Ruth Letson November 9, 1959 and she survives him. Billy served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors. Billy loved playing guitar, mandolin and banjo. He was a strong NASCAR fan. In addition to his wife, Ruth, Billy is survived by six children, Daniel (Wendy) Persinger, William Persinger, Carolyn Persinger, Nancy (Willis) LaFrenier, Rose (Pat) Doyle and Marvin (Andrea) Persinger; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with one more on the way; a sister, Gloria Krick; many nieces and nephews. Billy was predeceased by three siblings, Ernest, Carol Sue and Hazel. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Military burial services, under the auspices of American legion Post No. 439 will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service.
