Konn, Blair Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away Friday, July 25, 2014, age 83 years. He was born March 17, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Charles and Beulah Konn.
Blair was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1949 and attended Michigan State as a piano major. He joined the United States Air Force and retired as Senior Master Sargent after having served 20 years. He displayed his love of playing the organ for church services all over the world while serving in the Air Force. After retiring he sold, installed and serviced church organs. On July 1, 2009, he married his high school sweetheart, Catherine Faunce. She survives him. Blair joined the First Congregational Church where he was a member of the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir and served on the Church Board.
Surviving besides his wife, Catherine, are two step-sons, Michael (Anna) Pitts and John (Barbara) Pitts; four grandchildren, Lydia (Ryan) Simpkins, Nathan, Melissa and Adam Pitts; one brother, Charles (Sara) Konn of Applegate, MI.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at First Congregational Church, 403 S. Jefferson Ave. The Rev. Dr. Todd Farley will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday. They may also visit at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
