Bonnie Jean Deneen of Hemlock, Michigan,
Beloved wife, mother, grammy, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was 60 years old. Bonnie Jean Bluemer was born on July 22, 1962, in Saginaw, Michigan, to William Norman and Elenora Marie (Ostrander) Bluemer. She was a 1980 graduate of Hemlock High School. Following graduation, Bonnie attended Saginaw Valley State University, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She met the love of her life, Mark H. Deneen while attending a birthday party. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on May 2, 1987; he survives her. In 1985, Bonnie began a 33 year long career with Stevens Van Lines as a revenue accounts manager. She was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock. The role of her lifetime was being a loving and devoted 56wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, watching the birds out the front window, and spending time with her family. She held a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her cat, Simba. She will forever be remembered for being outgoing, for selflessly volunteering for her children in school and at church, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Mark H. Deneen of Hemlock; twin sons: Matthew Deneen of Sebewaing and Timothy (Jennifer) Deneen of Chesaning; son, Rev. Christopher (Lauren) Deneen of Lansing; two granddaughters: Ida and Eleanor Deneen of Lansing; mother, Elenora Bohn of Hemlock; grandpup and grandcat: Daisy and Angel; two sisters: BillieJo Bluemer of Hemlock; Brenda (Bob) Cech of Croswell; two sisters-in-law: Lynda (Jim) White of Ithaca; Diann (Kyle) Woodcock of St. Louis; three nephews and a niece: Alex Keller and Josh Keller of Saginaw; Cody Woodcock of St. Louis, and Candice Woodcock of FL. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Norman Bluemer; infant brother, Bernard Bluemer; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lyle and Marilyn Jean Deneen.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Road, Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William Morris and Rev. Richard Mundt will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Peter Lutheran Church – Building Fund, Christ the King Lutheran School in Sebewaing, Our Savior Lutheran School in Lansing, or the Saginaw County Humane Society.
