Bonnie Jean Becker

Becker, Bonnie Jean Saginaw, Michigan Our mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Bonnie Jean Frost was born Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1932 to the late Augusta J. (Stellmacher) and Floyd Frost in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1950. Bonnie married David Lee Becker on her birthday, November 25, 1950 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Saginaw. David passed away June 28, 2004, after 54 years of marriage. Bonnie's work career started at the City of Saginaw in various departments. She also spent some years as secretary for the Saginaw Township Planning Commission and Board of Appeals and she ended her career working for a local court reporting firm for 25 years. She and David also owned and operated Crystal Lake Marine in Beulah, Michigan for 11 years. Over the years, Bonnie enjoyed traveling, spending winter months at Matlacha, Florida and summer months at her cottage on Platte Lake at Honor, Michigan. She enjoyed many spring and fall shopping trips. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Surviving are her children, Brian David Becker and his wife, Betsy(Caverley); Jeffrey Allan Becker; four much loved grandchildren, Tara Lynn Becker-Utess and her husband Carl; Kelli Christine Becker; Eric David Becker and Andrew Ronald Becker; several nieces, nephews; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Raymond and Priscilla Becker; Gary and Bentley Becker; James and Connie Becker. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Frank, Richard, Jack and Gertrude Frost, Louise Spica; and a daughter-in-law, Beth (Reimers) Becker. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service.
