Brenda E. Strong

Walked into Heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Saginaw Senior Care at the age of 52. The daughter of Gail (McMahon) Schur and the late Roger Strong was born on August 12, 1967 in Saginaw. Brenda graduated from Merrill High School, the class of 1986. She briefly worked with the Saginaw SVRC. She was a devout Christian and attended church services whenever she could. Brenda had a great zest for life, and could always be found with family and friends. Of her many hobbies, she enjoyed karaoke and country music, movies (with popcorn of course), card games, bowling and attending camps, most often The Fowler Center in Mayville and Camp Fish Tales in Pinconning. Brenda loved to travel. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, where she cherished time spent with family, friends, and family meals. Surviving besides her mother, Gail Schur are her sisters: Teresa (Dale) Kirchoff, of Grayling, MI; Susan (Steve) Bridges of Chesaning, MI; her beloved nieces and nephews: Monica DeMerell of Clare, MI; Marie DeMerell of Waters, MI; Morgan DeMerell of Farwell, MI; Mallery DeMerell; Ashley (Michael) Gardner of St. Charles, MI; Sydney (Brent) Ruddy of Frankenmuth, MI; Jack Bridges of Chesaning, MI; Jeremy Myers of Gladwin, MI; her dear friend, Larry Cummings, with whom she celebrated a Promise Ceremony on September 1, 2019; her Aunt Glenna Rappley of Midland, MI; her Uncle Leon Strong of Saginaw, MI and many cousins and dear friends. Brenda was cared for by so many. The family would like to thank and acknowledge Kelly Surles and her team who took loving care of her at Cambridge AFC Home, Covenant Healthcare, Chesaning Nursing Home, and Saginaw Senior Care. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Merrill Congregational Christian Church, 245 South Midland Rd., Merrill. Rev.
