Brent Matthew Brethauer

Brethauer, Brent Matthew Freeland, MI Our beloved husband, father and brother passed away Monday, March 09, 2015 at McLaren Bay Regional Medical Center, age 47 years. Brent was born in Saginaw, Michigan March 24, 1967 the son of the late Louis and Esther (Glumm) Brethauer. He married Christine Lester July 1, 1992 and she survives him. Brent enjoyed spending time with his family and outdoor activities including boating and swimming. He was an avid Tigers fan. He enjoyed playing drums and listening to rock and roll music. In addition to his wife, Chris, Brent is survived by his son, Erik; his daughter Megan; three brothers, Bruce Brethauer, Brian Brethauer and Barry (Patti) Brethauer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Joy Lester; four sisters-in-law, Kim LuBerda, Carol Buzzard, Kathy (Jeff) Hansen and Tammy (Mark) Dudek; many nieces and nephews and his constant driving companion, his pet Yorkie, Jett. In addition to his parents, Brent was predeceased by his brother, Billy Brethauer. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1704 Amelith Rd. Rev. Stephen P. Starke will officiate with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Thursday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. and at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
