Brett Allan Siler Saginaw, Michigan Brett, son of Jacqueline S. Rohde and Bradley W. Rohde, died of septic shock unexpectedly on January 26, 2018. Brett leaves his father, Thomas E. Siler, and brothers-David R. Siler (Dawn), Thomas J. Siler (Jennifer), Brad Nathanial Rohde (Lindsay), Adam Siler (Amy), Ryan Siler (Justine), and sister Molly Siler (Jacob). Bretts nieces and nephews include Katherine (Ray), Ashley, Sara, Alissa (John), Andrew, Madeline, Bradley II, Caitlyn, and Jace and grand nephews, Logan, Aiden, and Kaden. Brett also had many aunts and uncles and cousins. Bretts cousins, Sean Frost and Nicole Royal and her family, Josh, Lexi, Racquel, and Candace, were especially close to Brett. Brett Allan Siler was born March 23, 1973 and attended Merrill Public Schools until he was in an automobile accident that left him severely handicapped on March 17, 1989. After the accident, Bretts handicap necessitated 24 hour per day nursing care. Brett lived with his parents Jackie and Brad Rohde in their home and received loving care from them and his nursing staff, Cora Atwater, Barbara Cherry, Patricia Dooley, Sean Frost, Mary Reyes, Marsha Sherman, Patricia Smith, Donell White, and Jennifer Zissler, and his Occupational Therapist, Paula Ray and Dr. Rama Mulpuri. Brett displayed his courage and strength throughout his life, up to the very end, and was an inspiration to us all. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at St. Thomas Aquinas 5376 State St. Fr. Rick Bokinskie will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Rd. on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or to St. Thomas Aquinas.
