Loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 59 years. Brian was born on April 8, 1961 in Saginaw to the late James and Mary (Brown) Armstrong. He married Marie Brownlie on October 8, 1988 in Kauai, Hawaii.
Brian was employed as an insulator at Heat and Frost Insulators Local 47 (Lansing, Michigan). He retired July 2020 after 28 years of service. Brian was a member of Saginaw Field and Stream for the last 15 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and skeet shooting.
Brian is survived by his wife Marie and two children, Adam and Jenna Armstrong. Also surviving him are his father-in- law James Brownlie, sisters, Sue (Jason) Shaw, Alma Volway and his nieces, Tricia Armstrong, Lori Kay Schulz, Jeanine Brownlie and LeAnn Ciciotte.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Armstrong, niece, Mya Shaw, and mother- in- law Angeline Brownlie.
Honoring Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at W.L. Case and Company (201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw). A private family service will follow visitation. Due to the world health pandemic, indoor building capacity is limited, face coverings will be required and social distancing will be encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of Covid- 19 in our community.
