Bruce Arthur Shrock of Saginaw, Michigan 

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully, with his daughter by his side, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was 88 years old. Bruce Arthur Shrock was born on April 5, 1935, in Clinton Township, Oscoda County, Michigan, to the late Arthur Wayne and Arla Leona (Troyer) Shrock. As a young boy, Bruce's mother passed away and he was lovingly raised by his father and stepmother, Arthur and Dorothy, and their newly blended family. He was a proud 1953 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Bruce met the first love of his life, Donna Lou Parker, while in school. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on June 16, 1956; she preceded him in death on March 3, 1991. He later married the former Jacquelyn "Jackie" M. (Lugiewicz) Stevens Johnson in 1995; she preceded him in death on June 27, 2021. As a young man, Bruce briefly worked for General Motors painting lines, but quickly transitioned into employment at Michigan Bell. While working at Michigan Bell, he rose through the ranks to obtain the position of engineer and retired with over 35 years of loyal and dedicated service. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. While working out in the thumb, he acclimated himself with the community and served as an umpire for various softball teams and leagues. Upon returning to Saginaw, Bruce civically served the community as both the treasurer and as a board of director for the former Saginaw Telephone Employee's Credit Union/Communications Family Credit Union. His little piece of heaven was golfing, traveling to golf, and traveling coast to coast across the United States in his 5th wheel. He enjoyed living at Buttonwood Bay, Sebring, Florida for over 24 years. He will forever be remembered as the best storyteller ever, a man with a wonderful sense of humor that could make anyone smile, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are one son and one daughter, Wayne (Lana) Shrock of Daytona Beach, FL; Lynn (Todd) Schwannecke of Saginaw; three stepdaughters and a stepson: Heidi Stevens, Shari Sauve, Lisa Huff, and Jeff Stevens; three grandchildren: Austin Shrock, Jared Shrock, Brice Schwannecke; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Lawrence (Shirley) Shrock and Keith Fultz; stepsister-in-law, Linda Fultz. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his spouses, Donna Shrock and Jackie Shrock; father, mother and stepmother: Arthur, Arla, and Dorothy Shrock; stepbrother, Phil Fultz; stepson, Kim Stevens.

Honoring Bruce's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, MI, 48603. Rev. Christina Schultz will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
