Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Luther Manor at the age of 83 years. The son of the late Daniel and Bregetta (Gordon) Sullivan was born on June 14, 1932 in Saginaw. He married Ruth A. Enser on October 18, 1967; she survives him. Burt worked as a security guard both for Fashion Square Mall and retired from the Saginaw News. He was a member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, and a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4232 and was Past Grand Knight. Burt was also active in Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years, the St. Patrick's Day Parade Association, and a Saginaw Township Crossing Guard. He also served on the Coast Guard Auxiliary, as past commander of Flotilla 15-05. Burt enjoyed bowling, fishing and time spent with scouts and his family. Surviving besides his wife of 48 years, Ruth are their children: Steven (Kristine) Sullivan, Karen (Brett) Dietzel, Brian Sullivan, grandchildren: Kevin, Ashley, Amber, Brandon (Shelby), Chelsea, Tyler, Makayla, Emma, Brooke, nephews Robert and Kevin Marti. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arnold and Elsie Enser, sister-in-law, Carol Marti, and his brother-in-law Ralph Enser. The family would like to thank the staff at Luther Manor and Heartland Hospice for the loving care they gave Burt. Funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Fr. Andrew S. LaFramboise will officiate with burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and at church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
