C. Frank Oomen, 94 of Caseville, formerly of Saginaw, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, at VA Palliative Care Unit in Saginaw.
Frank was born November 17, 1926, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Christian Frank and Marcya (Smith) Oomen. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1944. Frank was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He married Arlene R. (Jones) Chenette in 1966; she survives him.
Surviving along with his wife of 55 years, Arlene Oomen, are his five children: Cathryn Brabston, Dale (Sharon) Chenette, Chris Oomen, Gale (Chenette) Kitchen, and Mike (Sue) Oomen, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Audrey M. (McMall) Oomen.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3440 S. Washington Road, Saginaw. Rev. Don Dinninger will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered under the auspices of American Legion Post #22. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Wednesday at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion or a Pet Rescue of your choice.
In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19 in our community.
