Camila Konesko

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital, Orange City, Florida, with her family at her side. Age 88 years.
The daughter of the late Andres and Consuelo (Gonzales) Luna, Camila was born on July 18, 1932 in Laredo, Texas. She married Lawrence Konesko Sr. on February 23, 1963; he preceded her in death on March 2, 2016. Camila was a long-time member of St. Dominic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and its choir. She enjoyed being active, bowling and going to the casino. Above all, Camila cherished the time spent with her adoring family.
Surviving are one daughter and three sons: Lynn Temimi (Konesko); Lawrence Konesko Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; Leon Konesko; Leroy Konesko; nine grandchildren: Trista Lynn; Laila Marie; Aryana Maria; Katelyn Marie; Tina Marie; Heather Marie; Larry III; Kimberly Ann Marie; Lucas William; eight great-grandchildren: Austin Joseph; Alexia Marie; Michail Lawrence; Damian James; Derek James; Zoey; Chance; Chloe. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Honoring Camila’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020, and from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Pursuant to the current state executive order, indoor building capacity is limited, face covers are required, and social distancing is encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19 in our community.
