Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and Godmother passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her home, with her family at her side; at the age of 41 years.

The daughter of Debra (Burden) Johnson and the late Michael Johnson, Candice was born on July 9, 1979 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, with the Class of 1998. Candice continued her education at University of Phoenix earning her Bachelors Degree; then at Saginaw Valley State University with her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She worked at Innerlink for many years. Candice enjoyed traveling and had a passion for planning any occasion. Her family would describe her as compassionate, giving and thoughtful. Above all, Candice cherished the time spent with her family.

Surviving are two daughters: A’Perryah Johnson; Da’Metrah Johnson; two grandchildren: Kyrie Johnson; Myanna Colwye; her mother: Debra Johnson; one grandmother: Gaylua Johnson; four sisters and one brother: Tonya Burden; Lynetta (Lionel) Kidd; Toni (Isaiah Jr.) Davis; Melody (Marcus) Ponder; Ronald Burney Jr.; a very dear niece: Tomarkio “Koko” Burden; three God-children: Devitrion; Kenndi; Kamora; and a very dear friend: Dominique Brooks. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Honoring Candice’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the home of Debra Johnson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel.
