Carol "Anne" Honsinger

Carol “Anne” Honsinger, long time Musician and Educator died peacefully in her sleep at Toni and Trish House after a short illness. She was born March 20, 1939 in Saginaw to James Cullen and Laura Mae (Hunt) McDonald. She was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School and attended Central Michigan University.

A Private Music Teacher for over 50 years at the Honsinger Conservatory of Music. She played in the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra, Germania Orchestra & Chorus, Midland Community Orchestra, SVSU Chorus, Civil War Chorus, as well as a founding member of the Valley String Ensemble. One of the highlights was accompanying Brian D’Arcy James when he visited Saginaw. She held Choir Director positions at both St Matthew’s Lutheran, Bridgeport as well as St Matthew’s Episcopal, Saginaw.

Anne retired from Meijer after 20 years of service. Her pastimes included playing tennis almost every day with a group that welcomed her with open arms. Even including her in the indoor tennis league. She also loved playing Skip-Bo making sure every member of her family had a deck so she could share her love playing the game.

Her love of travel took her to England (twice), St Petersburg, Russia, Italy, Spain as well as various locations in the USA.

Anne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Liat Honsinger-Marlow & Barry Marlow. Grandchildren Zachery (Stephanie), Ben (Rachel), Spencer Marlow, TJ (Meghann) and Samantha Feinauer. Great grandchildren Owen, Grant, Mason, Aiden, Emoline, Hudson Marlow, Teagann, Oliver, Maisynn, Elora Feinauer. Nephew Jeffrey (Deedee) Cook, Alex (Amy) and Aaron Cook. Niece Rebecca (Kevin) Steinke, Kyle and Ryan Steinke. Jessica Cook, Bria Cook, Kobe Milaton. Justin (Angela) Cook, Cheyanne, Charlie, Levi Cook. Allison Cook, Dominic Cook, Edward Salazar. And very dear friend Ruth Donley.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, daughter Hayley Feinauer, nephew James Cook, sister Janet Cook, great nephews Alex and Andy Cook, and great grandson Henry Marlow.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1501 North Center Road Saginaw, MI 48638. The Rev. Mary Jo Hudson will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, as well as at the church Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
