Carol Jean "Jeanie Green" Waber

Passed away at 12:13 pm on September 13, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare Harrison. She was 81 years old. Carol Jean was born on November 11, 1937 to the late Charles and Ann (Kish) Green at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw, MI. Carol Jean was a song writer and released "Crazy In Love with Jesus" and "Rainbow Angels." She performed in her younger years as a vocalist. She was crowned Princess of Hollywood in the 1960s and was featured with Lawrence Welk at the Hollywood Palladium. Carol Jean also appeared with Ernest Tubbs, Ray Charles Singers, Ted Higgins of The Plaids, and with her own band with Boo Zeitz. She also had many appearances in charity work for the polio foundation for WNEM TV in the 1950s. She supported TCT TV for 41 years. Her greatest work was as an intercessor for Jesus Christ after her born again experience and her prayers for others. She loved giving, helping, and remembering people. She attended Immanuel Bible Church. Carol Jean loved most of all her husband, Gary, that allowed her to do the giving ministry. She was very proud of her brother, Gary Green, who served two times in Vietnam. "May God Bless you always and protect you. See you around the Holy Mountain." Carol Jean is survived by her husband, Gary Waber; a brother, Gary (Marlene) Green; two brothers-in-law, Nick (Joan) Waber and Thomas (Linda) Waber; and an uncle Michael (Joan) Kish. Special thanks to Uncle Tom (Janice) Kish and to her special prayer partner Shirley Claybrook, who prayed hundreds of times at all hours of the day and night. Also, to the many people who prayed for her. Thank you to the compassionate doctors and nurses of Covenant Cooper and Harrison. Funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw, MI. Rev. Matthew Beery will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
