Carol Jeanne Griffin
Age 64
Our loving mother, grandmother, and sister went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Carol was born on August 11, 1957, in Saginaw Michigan to the late Richard and Elaine (Ruppel) Reimer. Carol married the late James “Jim” Griffin on April 19, 2003, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. A lifelong resident of Saginaw, Carol was a 1976 graduate of Eisenhower High School and worked as a Kitchen Helper at Heritage and White Pine schools. Both Carol and Jim were faithful attendants of Bethany Lutheran Church, where Carol was a member of the Ladies of Bethany and the Garden Committee. Carol loved to cross stitch and crochet, and was fond of working outside amongst the leaves, trees, and flowers. She also loved feeding her happy family of squirrels and birds. During her life, Carol had three special feline friends: Sasha, Lily, and Cassie. She had a passion for traveling and especially loved visiting Up North and touring Michigan’s many lighthouses. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Carol is survived by one daughter: Jessica (Justin) Schlicht of Vassar; two grandchildren: Jakob and Kelsie Schlicht; two sisters: Kathy Brzeczkiewicz and Judy (Dale) Cline, one brother-in-law: Manuel Brenes; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her sister Connie Brenes.
