Carole Crovella of Saginaw, Michigan
Loving mom, grandma, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Carole was born June 1, 1934 in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of the late David and Beatrice (Winterly) Dreuth. She met the love of her life, Michael L. Crovella, in the library while attending Michigan State University. They were united in marriage on May 24, 1958; he preceded her in death on July 29, 1990. Carole was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed snowmobiling, boating and horseback riding, but most of all loved spending time at the family cottage on Hubbard Lake. Carole was a lover of all animals, especially her granddogs. Above all, she treasured and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends and family trips out west.
Surviving are two daughters and one son: Tina (Rick) Bowker, Michele (Doug) Jahn, and Michael (Susan) Crovella; five grandchildren: Gina Fisk, Jacob Fisk, Nikolas Hopp, Kristen Jahn and D. Michael Jahn; two great-grandchildren: Mason and Corbin Hopp; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Raymond (Elsa) Crovella. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including Bill Crovella and Lisa Crovella.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel “Nate” Hopp; and a brother, Kirk Dreuth.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
