Carolyn Marie Maksimowicz

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2019, with her husband and family by her side. She was 70 years old. Carolyn Warzecha was born on May 27, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Adolph and Josephine (Szczepaniak) Warzecha. She was a proud 1965 graduate of Holy Rosary High School. Following graduation, she met and married the love of her life, Carl Maksimowicz on September 14, 1968 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saginaw; he survives her. Carolyn was self-employed as a Health and Nutrition Specialist throughout her life. She was a faithful member of the Saginaw Valley Community Church. Carolyn had a kind and compassionate soul and devoted a great deal of her time and energy to many organizations helping woman and children. She also enjoyed visiting people in need, as well as gardening. Above all, she loved and cherished her husband, daughters, but especially loved being a grandmother. Carolyn will forever be remembered as a woman of great faith and for her indomitable spirit. Surviving are her husband and soul mate of 50 years, Carl Maksimowicz of Saginaw; two daughters, Kathleen (John) McKinnon of Bloomfield Hills; and Christine Maksimowicz of MA; one granddaughter, Isabel McKinnon of Bloomfield Hills; two sister and two brothers, Delores (Rocco) Rescigno of TN; Charles (Mary) Warzecha of Michigan, Judy Warzecha of FL; and James Warzecha of FL. A Memorial Service and Celebration will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Saginaw Valley Community Church, 3660 Hermansau Rd. Pastor Richard Sayad will officiate. Burial will follow in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, 6700 Dorwood Rd., Bridgeport, Michigan. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Mustard Seed Shelter at www.themustardseedshelter.org.
