Carolyn May Schulz

Schulz, Carolyn May Saginaw, Michigan Loving wife, mother, and grandmother died peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at HealthSource Saginaw at the age of 74 years. The daughter of Doris (Rearick-Bear)Towers and the late Russell Bear was born on January 19, 1941 in Toledo, OH. She graduated from Waite High School in Toledo. Carolyn married Reginald O. Schulz on September 9, 1961; he survives her. She was a member of Bridgeport Community Church and was an active member in their choir. She sang in the choir for every church where she was a member during her lifetime. Carolyn was a member of the foster care review board, book club and library support in Columbia, TN and a volunteer at the Saginaw Blood Bank. She was an avid outdoorsperson, enjoying camping, biking, cross country skiing, woodworking, cutting grass and spending time at the family farm. Surviving besides her husband of 54 years, Reginald, and her mother Doris Towers, are her children: Amy Schulz, Karen (Raymond) Boettcher, Thomas (Shari) Schulz, David (Angela LaPearl) Schulz, four grandchildren: Ashley, Raelyn, Kayla, Karly, her sisters: Bonny Beebe, Becky (Richard) Chesko, Lois Bear and her favorite nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her father and her birth mother, Juanita (Hale) Bear. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St., Bridgeport. Rev. Ronald Sinclair will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Bridgeport Community Church.
