DeMott, Carolyn (Carol) Ann Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, sister, aunt, and nana passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her residence with her family by her side after a long illness. Carol was born in Saginaw, Ml on November 20, 1946, the daughter of the late Louis Daniel and Mary (Bisbey) Loranger. She was currently retired, but worked at Tony's Take Out (State St.), Sears, A&D Home Health Care, VNA, Keystone Management, was former owner of Fass Trucking. She owned and operated DeMott Adult Foster Care Home which she operated from December 1991 until May 2006 when she became ill. She graduated from Buena Vista High School and Delta College. She enjoyed spending time with her family whenever possible, watching the Detroit Tigers, reading, traveling to the Soo Locks, occasional casino visits, dancing, hanging out at Chico's Party Store, reading her bible everyday, and praying for everyone daily, attending church. She was a member of the former Bridgeport Eagles Aries 3963 and current member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Carol is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Carson) Newbauer, her sister, Sally Graverette, her brother, Nelson (Karen) Loranger, her sister-in-law, Beatrice Loranger; her grandsons whom she cherished, Austyn Newbauer & Jacob Mangas; her niece, Karen (Sherry) Krompetz; several nieces and nephews; her extended family, Joseph (Diana) Newbauer; Kris Newbauer; Nathan (Summer) Kaiser Pastor Karl (Jennifer) Griffiths and kids; Karen Freeman, Gerald (Marta) Zill; Robert (Mary) Johnson, Brian Popielarz, Jamie O'Dell, Donald (Lisa) Bennett; and special people in her life, Mark, Betty, and Will. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy H. DeMott; her father and mother, Louis and Mary Loranger; her brother, Richard Loranger; her brother-in-law; Gary Leedke; and very special friends, Florence Kariean, Charles ("Chico") Gonzales and Phyllis Rene Ford. The family would like to thank Hometown Hospice, Fresenius Kidney Care (Saginaw Riverside), & Visiting Physicians Association for the excellent care she received during her illness. Memorial service will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Karl Griffiths will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. Memorials may be made to Austyn Newbauer (College Fund); Lighthouse Baptist Church (Window Fund) or the Kidney Foundation.
