Chaplain Sue Jones

Chaplain Sue Jones Saginaw, MI Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went home to the Lord on June 24, 2015, at the age of 70 years. Suzanne was born May 8, 1945, in Saginaw to the late Oliver and Betty (Morrison) Doud. She married Russell Jones Sr. on June 17, 1961 and lovingly proclaimed him to be the best husband ever. Sue was a Chaplain for the Forgotten Man Ministries. She was proud of her position there and her ability to lead those in need to Jesus. She was very artistic and loved to draw. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Russell (Lynnette) Jones Jr., Timothy (Rebecca) Jones, Randy Jones, and Holly (Michael) DeFrancesco; grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Lindsey, Jacob, Jade, and Randy Jr.; siblings, Gary (Debbie) Doud and Marlene (Edward) Maxwell. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Athena Jones. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at Ames United Methodist Church 801 State St. Pastor Scott Lindenberg will officiate with entombment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
