Charles R. "Chuck" Terrian of Freeland, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at his home. He was 76 years old. Charles Richard Terrian was born on August 27, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Howard L. and Martha A. (Trayer) Terrian. He was a 1960 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, Chuck proudly enlisted into the United States Navy serving on the USS Wrangell during the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban Blockade. He served for 3 years in active military and then enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve for an additional 25 years. Upon his return, Chuck married Cindy L. Wright on December 23, 1984. He was employed as a job setter with General Motors for over 34 years before his retirement. Chuck was also a member of the UAW Local #699, VFW Post 1566 and the American Legion. He was also a member of Saginaw Field and Stream since 1969 where served on the Board of Directors and often volunteered. Chuck enjoyed fishing and hunting. Above all, Chuck loved and cherished his children and grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his selflessness to all he loved.
Surviving are four sons and two daughters: Cheri (Bill) Terrian of Alma; Jon (Misty) Terrian of Mt. Pleasant; Joshua (Sarah) Terrian of Freeland; Cody (Stephanie) Terrian of Alma; Jeffrey Terrian of Midland; Lori (Joe) Rosolowski of Midland; 12 grandchildren; a former spouse, Cindy L. Wright; sister, Beverly Kellogg of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family member and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert J. Terrian and Howard L. Terrian, Jr.
A Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Paul R. Hinz will officiate. Military Honors will follow under the auspices of the United States Navy and VFW Post 1566. Honoring Chucks wishes cremation will follow. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
