Charles W. Cutler, Jr. Frankenmuth, MI Charles W. Cutler Jr., age 89, passed away on May 6, 2014. Funeral services will be held at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2014. Military Honors will be under the auspices of the National Guard. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home on May 10th from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of service. Charles was born on December 27, 1924 in Caro, MI to the late Charles and Sarah (Hendrick) Cutler. He graduated from Caro High School in 1943. He married Ruth Ellen Morse, on July 31st, 1943. Charles entered the Army in October of 1944. He was in the Army for two years and served in the Philippine's and in Japan. After his return in 1946, Charles returned to Caro and began a forty year career with Bell Telephone Company. During his career he lived in Sebewaing, Bad Axe, Caro, and Saginaw. He retired in January of 1987. Following retirement, he and Ruth enjoyed several years of living in Sebring and Ocala, Florida. In 2005 they returned to Michigan and once again lived in the Saginaw area. Charles is survived by his wife, Ruth, four children, Tom Cutler (Chris) of Lansing, MI, Dara Lapprich (Gary) of Saginaw, Jim Cutler of Grand Haven, and Gail Fikes (Morrie) of Montrose Twp. In addition, there are nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Charles served his country well as a soldier, as a long term employee of Bell Telephone, and most importantly as a dedicated husband and father who faithfully served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. www.casefuneralhome.com
