Beloved fiancé, mother, Gigi, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, age 66 years.

The daughter of the late Donald and Cherrie (LaHaie) Gilbert, Cheri was born on March 30, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Swan Valley High School, with the Class of 1977. Cheri met the love of her life, Dan Kelly. They shared nearly sixteen years together. He survives her. Cheri then continued her education at Delta College, where she acquired her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She worked as a dental hygienist at Great Lakes Family Dental Group, formerly Faucher Dental, where she retired after many years of loyal and dedicated service. Cheri was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 497. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, golfing, and playing Keno. Above all, Cheri cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her fiancé, Dan Kelly; her son and daughter, Charles Robar II (Bre Schoen), Cherie (Adam) Standal; daughter-in-law, Alicia Robar; six grandchildren, Kayden Robar, Henry Robar, Madison Standal, Stella Robar, Mallory Standal, Hannah Standal; sisters and brother, Holly (Mark) Foy, Joni Gilbert (Mike Bellmer), Donald Gilbert (Peggy Conits), Kathi Halvin (Jodi Hollis). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and several very dear friends. Besides her parents, Cheri was preceded in death by her son, Chad Robar.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral chapel.
