Chester Thomas Schmidt

Schmidt, Chester Thomas Brant, Michigan Passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at his home, at the age of 69. Chester was born in Montrose, Michigan February 22, 1945 the son of the late Walther and Frances (Mattes) Schmidt. He served with the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. Chester is survived by three children, Christin (Jack) Hofweber, Dianne Schmidt and Cory (Heather) Schmidt; five grandchildren, Harley Schmidt, Hunter Battle, Rachel Robinson, Riley Schmidt and Katlyn Schmidt; a sister, Nancy Jewell; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Chester "Riley" Schmidt II and five siblings, Walther Schmidt Jr, Richard Schmidt, Robert Schmidt, Toni Conklin and Patricia Volz.
