Our beloved and faithful son, brother, and father passed away suddenly on March 25, 2020 at the age of 49 years. He worked for over 30 years in the construction industry. Chon was known as a “Jack of all Trades” always fixing something. During family gatherings (and there was many) he was known as a jokester and master storyteller. He could make you cry laughing and feel sad at the same time, but you would always wind up shaking your head, smile and say “That’s Chon”. Whether it was playing horse shoes, kicking the breeze with his brothers and friends or drinking R & R you knew there would never be a dull moment with Chon. He lived his life the way he chose; ambitious and carefree. Chon would always be there to help which often included passing out flyers and making popcorn for the annual Children’s Festival or face painting at the annual Christmas party with his friend and confidant, Amanda.
Chon is survived by his parents: Mac M. Rodriguez and Virginia Rodriguez, his brothers: Mac (Kristina) Rodriguez, Macho (Rika) Rodriguez, Rocky and Billy Rodriguez, his sisters: Shana (Eric) Kohlhoff, Zorina Beckman, Donna Hobbs, Victoria Russell, Tracy Jablonski and Angela Meyer, his devoted, loving and caring girlfriend, Amanda Graser and her son Jordaan, whom they raised together. Jordaan was more like a partner-in-crime for Chon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, along with a few special ones: Prudencio, Niko, Ava, Maximus, Tyler, Jessica, Kris, Aidan, Liem, Lukie, and numerous friends, and his “sidekicks:” Don W., Scott K., Moe G.. Chon was predeceased by his sister Sally Wirtz.
The family would like to thank his co-workers and companies he worked with in Florida for their support.
