Christina R. Reikowsky

Christina R. Reikowsky Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 surrounded by family at the age of 88 years. The daughter of the late Alfred and Sara (Wright) Dixon was born on August 25, 1927 in Saginaw. She married Gene Reikowsky on January 27, 1945; he predeceased her on February 6, 2006. Christina retired from Saginaw General Hospital after 25 years of service as a surgical technician. She enjoyed going to the casino and most especially loved to spend time with her family- including her Sunday night dinners. Surviving are a son and two daughters: Gene Reikowsky, Jr., Georgia Reikowsky, Sela Reikowsky, a foster son, Henry (Debbie) Dietrich, daughter-in-law Peggy Dietrich, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, her sister-in-laws Ruth Dixon, Alice Reikowsky, Audrey Reikowsky, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Sandra Reikowsky, brothers: Walter (Grace) Dixon, Robert (Alice) Dixon, John Dixon, Cecil (Vickie) Dixon, brothers-in-law: Bruce Reikowsky, and Jay Reikowsky. The family would like to thank Mary Oldenburg and her family for the loving care they gave Christina. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grace Hospice.
