Christine Marie Santino of Saginaw

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Ascension – St. Mary’s Hospital. She was 66 years old. Christine Marie Santino was born on April 6, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Joseph Michael and Thelma (Shaffer) Santino. She was a proud 1973 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Christine worked for many years at her father’s business, Santino Building Maintenance. She was a faithful Christian and raised in the Baptist faith. Christine had a love for all animals, especially horses and looked forward to the event of the year, the Kentucky Derby. Above all, she loved and cherished her sons and grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her thoughtfulness in giving birthday and holiday cards, her love and devotion to all she loved and cared about, and for her compassionate and selfless soul.

Surviving are two sons: David (Natalie) Beck of Birch Run; Michael (Angela Mason) Bauer of Birch Run; four grandchildren: Hanah, Brynlee, Noah, and Joshua Beck; four sisters and one brother: Darlene (Gerald) Munson of Burt; Elizabeth (Jerry) Fisher of Bridgeport; Menette (Marty) Coe of Flushing; Nick (Linda) Santino of Birch Run; Malinda (Brian) LaFramboise of Bridgeport; aunt, Ida Kohnke of Grand Blanc. Also surviving are many Santino relative including cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews all she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Al Rohn; grandparents: Aaron and Helen Shaffer; Mike and Myrtle Mary Santino.

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Pastor Dan Shinabarger will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Santino Family c/o David Beck or Michael Bauer.
