Christine Zobel

Zobel, Christine "Chris" Kawkawlin, Michigan Our beloved mother and daughter passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, age 49 years. She was born on May 30, 1966, daughter of Robert and Virginia (Dreffs) Cook, in Saginaw. Chris was a graduate of Delta College earning an Associate degree. She was employed at Nexteer Automotive and a member of UAW Local #699. Chris enjoyed bowling, woodworking, feeding everyone, helping those in need and will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit. Surviving are her two daughters, Kayla Stringer and Emily Zobel; her father and step mother, Robert and Judith Cook; her sister, Cathleen (Dave) Baase; her brothers, Karl and Philip Cook; also many other special relatives and friends including her "bestest best friend', Kristie Ross and her dog Carmel. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Pastor Jeremy Evans will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Those planning an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, may wish to consider a donation to her daughters.
