Clara E. Gaunt

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the age of 84 years. The daughter of the late Albert and Hazel Stevenson was born on October 5, 1932 in Saginaw. She married Ralph A. Gaunt on March 3, 1952; he survives her. Clara was a former member of the Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and most especially cherished time with her family. Surviving besides her husband of 65 years, Ralph, are their children: Sylvia (Stephen) Schultz, Linda (Larry) Ruple, Terry (Jackie) Gaunt, and Ralph (Julie) Gaunt II, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her brother, Hugh (Ethel) Stevenson, her sister, Elaine Cramer and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Betty Stevenson and Shirley Brockless. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie HWY. Rev. Maurice Horne will officiate with entombment at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral chapel from 2:00-8:00p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider American Diabetes Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
