Clare "Mike" Parks

Parks, Clare "Mike" Bridgeport, MI Passed away suddenly on February 1, 2014 at home at the age of 67 years. The son of the late Eldred and Elizabeth (Kollman) Parks was born on March 9, 1946 in Saginaw. He married Janice I. "Renie" Byrd, on March 27, 1967; she survives him. Mike served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam War and Korea. He attended Saginaw Wesleyan Church prior to attending Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Mike enjoyed hunting and bird watching but especially loved spending time with and "stalking" his family. Surviving besides his wife of 46 years, Renie are their children: Joseph "Schmo" (Lee) Parks, Melissa "Bonez" (Dave) Keena, Matt "Midge" (Laura) Parks, Marty "Mart" (Wendy) Parks, 7 grandchildren: Zach "Zinger" Murray, Gage "Gager" Murray, Matthew "Matty" Parks, Logan "Pogue" Parks, Brock "Brockster" Keena, Joey "Tweezer" Parks, Hunter "Hunt" Parks, a sister Judy Dennison, mother-in-law Maezena Elliott, a special brother-in-law Fred Husen and many nieces and nephews and dear relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
