Clarence G. Beyer Port Huron, Michigan On Friday, June 03, 2016, Clarence Beyer (formerly of Saginaw) passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at his daughter's home with loved ones at his side. Clarence was born August 26, 1924, on a farm in Hemlock to the late Clement and Rose (Baker) Beyer. He married Margaret Burk on September 1, 1951; she was the love of his life, who sadly passed on September 15, 2003. Clarence served in the U.S. Army during WWII and earned his living as an iron worker for 36 years, traveling throughout the Midwest and earning him a lifetime of stories to tell. He enjoyed contributing as an usher at St. Thomas Aquinas Church for many years. He found joy in gardening, rooting for the Tigers, and spending quality time with friends and family. He is survived by his daughters, Julie (Michael) Mallon and Karen (Curtis) Stoeber, five grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew and Jason Mallon, and Daniel and Ben Stoeber and two sister-in-laws Violet Belanger and Beth Burk. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Nohel, Eleanor Hoff, Clement Beyer Jr., and William Beyer. Funeral liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Bokinski will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call on Tuesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
