Clarence L. Herbin Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017, at New Hope Valley. Age 89 years. The son of the late Elizabeth and Julius Herbin was born June 1, 1927 in Pillager, Minnesota. He married Rosaleen M. Busch. She passed away October 12, 2016. He served with the Merchant Marines and then with the U. S. Army. He was employed as a Teamster, retiring with 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Dominic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church, and the American Legion Post #22. Surviving are two sons, Donald (Patricia) Herbin and Harry Herbin; grandchildren, Kerrye (Steven) Petrik, Shelbye Herbin, and Michael Herbin; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Carsynn Petrik; a sister Marie (Wilmer) Schaeff; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Robert, three sisters, Esther, Dorothy and Blanche and two brothers, Larry, and Harry who was killed in action during WWII. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with Military burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from Noon Tuesday until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Dominic Parrish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
