Clarice "Clair" Kaplan

Our loving mother and grandmother passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Age 78 years.

Clair was born on August 3, 1942, daughter of the late Manuel and Irene (Carollo) Danz, in Detroit. She graduated from the University of Guam, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She continued to live in Guam working as a substitute teacher at the local high school until 1975. Clair then returned to Michigan and retired from Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority after many years of service. She enjoyed sail boating, hiking, gardening and traveling. She had a loving spirit, very unique, a great sense of humor and was quite the social butterfly. Clair loved spending time with her family and friends.

Clare will be missed by her daughter, Rachel Kaplan; son, Samuel Kaplan; grandchildren, Kristina Rosas, Charlie and Darien Jennell, Jade Kaplan; great grandchildren, Nolan and Gianni Burkhart, Chase and Jamie Jennell, Jaxon and Owen Kabat and one on the way; her special friends, Julie, Rita and Doris.
