Claudia B. Maher

Claudia B. Maher Saginaw, MI Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away January 12, 2016 at the James E. Cartwright Hospice Residence at the age of 69 years. The daughter of the late Claude Murray Jr. and Ida Jean (Kutch) Murray, Claudia was born on June 15, 1946 in Fallon, NV. She graduated from Lincoln Park HS (MI) and graduated later from cosmetology school. She married Michael R. Maher on August 22, 1969. He survives her. She was a member of the National Organization for Women, ACLU, and Friends of the Library. Claudia and Mike both worked and were vendors at the Antique Warehouse. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, collecting antiques, sewing, cooking, and other crafts. In addition to her husband, Claudia is survived by her son, Christopher and Andrea Maher (Saginaw), daughter, Rebecca and Christopher Weeks (Cape Coral, FL) and son, Timothy Maher (Saginaw); five grandchildren, Mia, Samuel, and Kellen Maher, Stefan and Alyssa Weeks; one great grandchild, Zaiden Weeks; sisters Joannie and Bill Long and Natalie Smedo; her mother in law, Lucille Maher, as well as many brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Claudia was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Lynn Maher. Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Jeff Leibman will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
