Colleen Kathryn Tamm Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the age of 90 years. The daughter of the late Jay and Florence (Kroll) Kotcher, born July 19, 1925 in Saginaw MI. Beloved wife of Richard C. Tamm with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage in September. Colleen and Dick lived in Saginaw and were married in 1951. During their marriage they lived in Boston, MA, Livonia, MI, Michigan City, IN, and Philadelphia, PA. They returned to Saginaw in 1979. Colleen was a member of the Presbyterian Faith and served her church on various committees, as a Sunday school teacher, in bible studies, a Chancel Guild member, and as a Deacon. She loved spending time volunteering and worked with Fox Chase Cancer Research Institute's Paoli Thrift Shop, Covenant Harrison Hospital for 18 years, and a member of the Read Program. She enjoyed golf and was a member of the Women's National Farm and Garden Association. She was a member of Lambda Tau Sorority and The National Honor Society. She and Dick traveled extensively. When their sons were young they traveled to many National Parks. They have traveled to China, Greece and many European countries, and enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean, the Baltic Sea and Alaska. She and Dick were members of the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club, Germania Country Club, and the Lake Fairways Country Club in Fort Myers, FL. Besides her husband Dick she was very proud of her sons David C. (Candy) of Houston, TX, and James R. (Sally) of Alexandria, VA and four wonderful grandchildren, Dr. Amanda (Keith) Wolf DDS of Houston, TX; David Jr. of Houston, TX; Stephen of Moscow, ID; and Shawna (Richard) Schneider of Houston, TX; and two great-granddaughters Mila and Elia Wolf; brothers Jay Kotcher, William (Viola) Kotcher, and sister-in-law Eunice Kotcher; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Kotcher and sister-in-law Phyllis Kotcher. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at W.L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603 Rev. James Neumann will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
