Connie Jean Newman

Newman, Connie Jean Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, age 64 years. Connie LaDrig was born September 4, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late Edward and Loretta (Compton) LaDrig. She married Phillip Newman April 13, 1968 and he survives her. Connie worked as a waitress for many years and loved playing bingo, going to the casino and watching the Game Show Network. In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by her daughter, Sherry Newman; three grandchildren, Andrea, Kayla and Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Faythe, Blake and Madison; five siblings, Joann, Steven, Lee, Ellen and Roy; a special aunt, Joan Ray; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rose and Mike; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Janie.. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Logan; a brother, Edward "Butch" and a sister-in-law, Gladys. The funeral service will take place 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Mr. Terry Lockwood will officiate.
