Cora Belle Spiker Zilwaukee, Michigan Passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late John and Anna (Wesener) Seeger was born March 12, 1926 in Merrill, Michigan. She married Francis E. (Frank) Spiker, June 14, 1952. He passed away June 17, 1994. She was employed as a Beautician, owning her own shop and working in various area shops throughout her career. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Cora was an avid card player. She played cards with the Senior group with the Saginaw Commission on Aging and other area card clubs. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, fishing and traveling. Surviving are two daughters, two sons and their spouses, Gail and Tom Gola, Pleasant Ridge, MI; Ann and Steve Soper, Kalamazoo, MI; Francis E. Spiker Jr., Saginaw, MI; Fred and Peggy Spiker, Midland, MI; nine grandchildren, Christina and Allison Gola; Joshua Soper and his wife, Kate Dillon; Benjamin Soper; Nathaniel Soper; Francis Edward (Eddie) Spiker III. and his wife, Sarah; John Spiker; Keri Gisslen and her husband, Dan; Stephanie Hauman and her husband, Mark; a great grandson, Aiden Soper; two sisters, Hilda Meyer and Arlene Keenan; many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Eleanor Klembecki, Laura Hiser (Cora's twin sister), have predeceased her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 511 W. Cornell St. Zilwaukee, MI. Rev. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate. Friends may call at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial Mass.
