Cordelia Chapman

Chapman, Cordelia M. "Cordy" Frankenmuth, MI Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the age of 81. Cordy was born May 22, 1931, in Tiro, OH to the late Emery and Tillie (Kark) Schiefer. She served in the U.S. Air Force where she played softball. She was active at Bridgeport Community Church and the American Legion in Frankenmuth. She retired from Sears. She currently resided at Independence Village in Frankenmuth. She was very creative and enjoyed various artistic crafts and music. She will be missed by her children, Dawn Rashotte and Melody (Jerry) Krogman; grandchildren, Matthew Rashotte, Kathryn Byers, Sarah Krogman, Emily Krogman, and Rachel Krogman; siblings, Cassie (John) Poffenbaugh and Judy Everhardt. She was predeceased by her siblings, Virgil Schiefer, Corliss Schiefer, Virginia Swogger, Delores Bevier, Marietta Sharpless, and Lucille Chapman; and brother-in-law, Gene Everhardt. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Hwy. Rev. Ron Sinclair will officiate with military honors rendered by American Legion Post #439. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. www.casefuneralhome.com
