Corwin V. "Vic" Cowles, Jr.

Cowles Jr., Corwin V. "Vic" Saginaw, Michigan Loving husband, father, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the age of 81 years. The son of the late Rev. Corwin V. and Ruth M. (Purssell) Cowles, Sr. was born on November 7, 1932 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill Trade School the class of 1951. Vic married Beulah M. Egbert on June 16, 1956; she survives him. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Korea. Vic retired from Severance Tool after 47 years of service and the American Red Cross after 15 years of service. He was also a 25 year charter member of the Kochville Township Fire Department, serving as Assistant Fire Chief for many years. He was a life-time member of the V.F.W. Post #1566. Vic was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving besides his wife of 57 years, Beulah, is their daughter, Cheryl M. Cowles, his sister, Virginia Clements, his brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert Egbert, Kenneth (Esther) Egbert, George Egbert, Vicky Reynolds, and Helen Egbert, several nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Military burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of the V.F.W. Post #1566. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where the Kochville Fire Department will have a walk through service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
