Dale R. Chaltraw

Chaltraw, Sr., Dale R. Saginaw, Michigan Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the age of 82 years. The son of the late Joseph E. and Irene M. (Cummings) Chaltraw was born on October 31, 1931 in Saginaw, MI. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Joan Acker on June 23, 1974; she survives him. He retired from Grey Iron Foundry after 40 years of service. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Detroit Tiger and baseball fan. Surviving besides his wife Joan are his children; Dale R. (Kathy) Chaltraw Jr., Brenda (Bruce) Griffith, step-children; Wesley (Angela) Osmond, Kenneth (Bill) Osmond, Larry (Elaine) Osmond, grandchildren; Gina Chaltraw, Monica Chaltraw, Doris Griffith, Bruce Griffith, Mark Vasquez, Jo Vasquez, Frances Vasquez, Zach Osmond, Cole Osmond, Alexa Osmond, great-grandchildren; Haylee Betha, Hunter Griffith, Easton Griffith, several brothers and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughters Debbie Perry, Beverley Chaltraw, step-son Rolland Osmond, and a step-daughter Cinditha Osmond. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie HWY with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
