Daniel H. Youmans

Daniel H.Youmans Carrollton, Michigan Passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, age 92 years. Daniel was born on May 14, 1925, son of the late Herbert and Vernita (Herron) Youmans, in Ypsilanti. He married Rosemary "Peg" Baldwin on April 9, 1945. She predeceased him on July 21, 2013. He was a long time member of Ames United Methodist Church. Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, hunting, camping, hiking and playing cards. He loved to spend time with his family, whom he adored. Daniel is survived by five children, Nancy (Richard) Conrad, Janice Soule, Patricia Ezell, Daniel Youmans and Pam (Dave) Sikorski; six grandchildren, David, Cathy, Joe, Larry, Laura and Eric; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Madison, Ben, Payton, Abby, Lily and James; his sister, Beverly Sudman; and brother-in-law, Glen Buschman. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Buschman, brother-in-law, James Sudman and son-in-law, Leigh Soule. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State Street. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
